James Gives His Explanation of the Initiative (Part 1) By Tyron S. James

The initiative of addressing, what is one of this country's most pressing problems, (the lack of physical activity among the youth) is an opportunity for all of us to prove that we really care about our fellow-man. I will be getting into the groove of planning and executing measures in the forms of keep-fit clubs, health ads, fund-raising ventures aimed at getting the persons most at risk (the 5-25 years age group) involved in what is their own business, ie. helping in their own resurgence as assets to society, and not burdens.

This is not an attempt by me, Tyron S. James, to in any way take away the control or duty of those who are placed there for matters such as these. As I see it, the authorities there are swamped by so many seemingly different types of issues that if I were to go to them and say I have this idea or whatever I know that it may appear to them as not so important and they may not address it as I see it being absolutely crucial.

Anyway, what I plan on doing is simply to deal with the problem in my town, Malabar. Because that is where I live. The fact that I have already been in contact with other citizens of Malabar who indicated their willingness to do what they could to awaken the community to the pressing nature of this situation and by so doing cause a cry to reach those who can do the ultimate? as far as we, humans are concerned.

As of now, I myself am getting fitter and stronger because I am excited about  my life and understand all the benefits that will come out of what I am doing for my family, friends and countrymen .The simple task of walking on a regular basis can be the start of a new job, business, adventure, lifestyle, life etc. We have been lead down the road of mediocrity for too long

My mother used to say, Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Or is not what you do but how you do it.

The bottom line is to include more physical activity in your life: everyday.

For some, this might only mean getting a mat and stretching, exercising (basic stuff), and moving to music or a rhythm. You will be surprised that doing this everyday for 20-30 minutes will improve your cardiovascular endurance almost 100%. That is the state of your heart and lungs. For too many of us that is in an all too common state of disorder. Leading to all the illnesses so prevalent in society today.

But what I am saying now about the trend prevelent among the youth of the nation of being strapped to a phone, laptop, etc. for many hours daily, and no time for actually living ( as we the older generations knew: playing, relaxing, enjoying our favorite pastime be it football, singing, dancing, running, listening to music, whatever. It will have the effect of when you put your arm in a cast, for example. The muscles get weak and eventually useless. The problem is so bad that we have not begun to state just how many negative outcomes will take place in those choosing this lifestyle.

Therefore, we must begin to include the following courses in our daily lives:

1. A time to plan: Our weekly/daily physical activities for any given month.

These activities must include things that address the needs of the individual (be he male/female; young- between 3-16; 17-35 years old; Middle Ages - 36 - 50; And above 50).

To simplify matters, we will address this plan to the average person in the community (not the elite athletes, the sick or infiemed but those who fit in the middleof the scale).

By the needs of the individual we mean the
